Rockingham is a village and civil parish in the Corby district of Northamptonshire, England. It is close to the border with Leicestershire and Rutland, near to Great Easton and Caldecott.

The village is the site of Rockingham Castle and gives its name to Rockingham Forest during the time of William the Conqueror, because of the Castle’s importance as a Royal retreat and the title Marquess of Rockingham, but Rockingham Motor Speedway is in East Northamptonshire.

A cricket pitch lies within the grounds of the castle and is home to Old Eastonians Cricket Club.

Rockingham Castle was used as the set for the BBC English Civil War period drama By the Sword Divided. In the TV series “Arnescote Castle” was the home of the Royalist Lacey family. It also featured in the film Top Secret! which starred Val Kilmer.

The resistance group stages a rescue of Dr. Flammond, where Nigel and Du Quois, a resistance leader, dress up in a fake cow outfit to disable the prison’s defenses. While the other members successfully infiltrate the prison, Nigel reveals himself as the traitor. Dr. Flammond is rescued, but Nigel makes off with Hillary, and Nick is forced to rescue her in an underwater bar room fight. With their flight about to leave, Hillary chooses to go with Nick and her father to America.
