Virgin of Peace, is a colossal memorial sculpture of the Virgin Mary . The statue is 47 meters high, 16 meters wide, 18 meters deep at the base and has a concrete weight of around 1200 tons.

Virgen de la Paz is the tallest statue in Latin America and also taller than the Statue of Liberty in New York in the United States. The work comes from the sculptor Manuel de la Fuente. The monument is also located at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level in the so-called Peña de la Virgen. The Virgin is said to have appeared there in 1570.
