The second production automobile from Honda, a Japanese public multinational conglomerate corporation primarily known as a manufacturer of automobiles, motorcycles, and power equipment.
The S500 released in 1963, following the T360 truck into production by four months. It used a high-tech engine developed from Honda’s motorcycle expertise, used a four-speed manual transmission with chain drive at the rear wheels. Weighing just 680 kg, S500 could hit 80 mph 125-130 km/h.
